Better Pililla Womens Multi-Purpose Cooperative, partnership with Progresibong Kababaihan ng Pililla a Non-Governmental Organization in Municipality of Pililla implements a project Water Lily Livelihood Program in Pililla , Rizal.
The program aims to establish a water lily handicrafts in town and in the province of Rizal as well. The project concept particularly from processing, weaving, marketing and distribution of the product. It was located at Pililla Public Market, Brgy. Bagumbayan, Pililla, Rizal.

At present, there are fifteen weavers making the slippers, different bags, trays, tissue holder, placemats, etc., made out of water lily, while other members make sun drying method. Since there is an abundant water lilies floating in the area they thought in the opportunity in turning water lilies into something useful and creative at the same time, it can also give income to their members composed of mainly unemployed mothers and wives doing a home-based business.
With the help of Local Government Unit (LGU), other potential members went on a Villar for lakbay aral training. The Villar Sipag community showed them in their program a variety of dried water lilies product which surprised them because they didn’t know that there are many things that the dried water lilies can do which gave them hope and encouragement on continuing the business. They were able to participate in the exhibit and trade fair at the 2nd Infantry Division Division Foundation day, February 6 to 10, 2019 in Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal, 14th Las Pinas Water Lily Festival, July 28, 2019, Mega Trade 1 at Megamall, October 2, 6 , 2019 and Christmas Village Trade Fair at Ynarez Center, December 2019. That’s the only chance to showcase and sell the unique products.
